As we count down to Symposium and the unveiling of our big announcement, we have also put together a few tips to help you take full advantage of this year’s event!

Over the past few weeks we have released a weekly white paper series entitled ‘Own the Customer Experience.’ If you had the chance to check out those posts and download the white papers, you likely noticed that we inserted a small tidbit within each paper that went something along the lines of, “solution coming soon!” And that solution is almost here! That’s right, we will be unveiling some pretty cool news for Sitecore users during Symposium! I bet your wheels are turning now, so be sure to make the Aware booth (#13 in the Partner Pavilion) your first stop at Symposium and get the scoop firsthand! We’re excited to see familiar faces at this year’s event as well as connect with new members of the Sitecore community, so be sure to swing by to not only hear the big news but also catch free demos and grab some great swag as well.

Tips to Help You Take Advantage of Your Symposium Experience

With an overflow of educational, networking and hands-on engagement opportunities at this year’s conference, you are sure to gain valuable knowledge that will inspire you and further connect you to the Sitecore community. With Symposium just around the corner, it’s time to make sure you’ve set yourself up for a successful 2014 Sitecore Symposium experience. We’ve put together a few quick tips to help you do just that.

Take time to research the keynotes, conference tracks and presenters

Carve out time to research the various educational opportunities available throughout the conference. To begin this research, you will want to hop over to the symposium website and check out the awesome lineup of visionary keynote speakers and review the sessions and conference tracks. Sitecore has already done a bit of the leg work for you by breaking down the sessions into 3 conference tracks including the developer track, product track and business track. However, typically each track has presentation overlaps which means you have to decide which topic/session would be most valuable to you. If you’re attending with a peer, perhaps you can tag team sessions and each take good notes. Otherwise, opting for the topic that reinforces and expands your skillset while still exposing you to new aspects of the industry could possibly be the most beneficial route. Researching the presenters can also be helpful, take a look at their bios and see which subject matter experts could provide you with the more well-rounded session experience.

Aware’s Presentations Details

For the third year in a row, Aware has been honored to be selected as a presenter at Symposium. If you’re going the business track route, be sure to put our presentation on your list!

The entire purpose behind attending Sitecore Symposium is to inspire new ideas and fresh approaches to utilizing Sitecore. At the same time you should use the experience to also energize yourself to tackle new projects when you return to the office and form lasting relationships that could expand your industry network. Continue the Symposium experience after hours

Once daytime conference hours are over, you will have special events, meetups and after parties to choose from. Yes, you may be quite exhausted at this point in time, but never fear I’m sure they will each happily serve you coffee as well (with or without the Bailey’s). The bottom line is that you must exit your hotel room, push through the exhaustion, break your bedtime curfew a bit and extend your Symposium experience a bit. Skipping these could rob you of many more opportunities to meet interesting people within your industry – people who could wind up becoming super helpful professional contacts in the future or your new best Sitecore friend for life.

Now go, gain invaluable knowledge, be inspired, get motivated to continue implementing innovative Sitecore solutions and enjoy yourself while doing so! We look forward to seeing you at Symposium and unveiling our exciting news with the entire Sitecore community!
